Dušan PIRIH was born on 21st February in Jesenice.
After primary school he completed Secondary school for design and in registered at the Pedagogical academy in 1974. After several years of pedagogic work (1976 – 1985) he started with graphic design and since then he has been employed in the famous sport equipment factory ELAN in Begunje.

Dušan’s life path is similar as his father’s. Like his father, Dušan also attended Secondary school for design and after graduation registered at the Pedagogical academy in Ljubljana. He persisted in pedagogic work for nine years and then he has employed as graphic designer in ELAN Begunje. But he has not neglected the talent which he has inherited from his father. So tonight Dušan PIRIH presents a number of his paintings which represent the variety and picturesqueness of his efforts. While his father was mainly a portraitist, sun Dušan is (according to his paintings), a landscape painter. But he is also skilled in figural style.
Dušan PIRIH’s paitings are not precise imitations of nature, but rather impressions of nature, where light is continually modifying forms and colours. Because of that, paitings act softly and revive space with pleasantness.
We wish the painter Dušan PIRIH to continue creating with his colour lyrical inner voice which his father also carried deep inside.
